Bonnie ~” In 1975 I received a BA in Art Education from Westminster College in New Wilmington PA . I worked as an art and home ec. teacher for 3 1/2 years in Virginia before moving to CA in 1979. My teaching credential from PA was not recognized in CA, and the art teaching jobs were becoming scarcer after the passage of Prop.13 so I turned my attention to starting a family. After my children were in school, I became active in several Rohnert Park nonprofits gaining board and fund raising event experience while also becoming more and more frustrated by the lack of funding for enrichment programs (the arts, music, etc). I was eager to find a way to help change that. In Sept. of 1994 I accepted this position bringing my classroom teacher and nonprofit experience together to meet a new challenge. It has been an honor working with so many outstanding community volunteers to earn the funding to keep enrichment programs in our local schools for the past 10 years.” |

Advisory Board members include prior members of the Board of Directors as well as concerned citizens from the community that graciously volunteer their time to assist us during our various events. |

Lorraine ~ “My husband and I have lived in Rohnert Park for 16 years. We wanted to offer our daughter a chance to grow up and attend school with friends she would eventually graduate from High School with. We accomplished this with our daughter graduating from Rancho Cotate High School in 2001 and Sonoma State in 2005. I was involved in PTA from Elementary through High School, holding many different offices. I was Chairman of Project Graduation and served on the Every 15 Minutes committee at Rancho Cotate. Throughout the years I had heard about the grants the Education Foundation offered and always thought what a wonderful opportunity for teachers to fund some of their needs. Once my daughter was out of school I wanted to get involved and was pleased to join the Education Foundation” |

Judi ~ From 1991 to 2001, she owned and operated a childcare business in her home. Prior to that, her extensive administrative background included the Administrator of Laboratory Planning & Development, a company that designed, equipped and built biological laboratories. Judi enjoys cooking, wine tasting (particularly the Russian River and Dry Creek Valleys) and spending time with family and friends. Married to Kevin, they have two sons, Benny age 15 and Jackson age 6. Their family treasures their time together -- camping, Benny’s sporting activities, attending local events and exploring Sonoma County from the vineyards to the ocean. Judi also sits on the Board of the Middle School Athletic Booster’s Club (MSABC) and is an Ambassador for the Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce. |
