Executive
Board
(2007-2008)
President – Daniel
Blanquie
Dan
(& Vera) ~ We are 25 year residents of Rohnert
Park. To affect change in a positive
way, it is necessary to get involved.
The Cotati/Rohnert Park Education
Foundation is a noble cause, and we are extremely proud to
be a part of it. One of the most
valuable gifts we can give to our children is education. This Foundation
assists our community by providing valuable grants to our educators. With all of the fiscal concerns facing our
schools, this foundation becomes even more important. We encourage all of you
to support it.
Vice
President
– Michael Pastryk
Secretary – Gaylene

serving as School District Liaison
Principal – Evergreen Elementary School)
Treasurer
– Linda Canterbury
Linda
~ “I have been on the board for several
years. I joined the Ed Foundation as the teaching profession has always held
a soft spot for me. My father was a greatly loved teacher and I saw how much
teachers give to their profession. My family has lived in Rohnert park for over 20 years.”
Immediate
Past President – Wulff Reinhold
Wulff ~ “Our future lives
in our youth and I believe that it is our responsibility and duty to invest
whatever time, effort, and capital is necessary in order to provide our youth
and their teachers with all of the alternatives and opportunities they need
to accomplish their fullest potential.
The Education Foundation of Cotati & Rohnert Park allows me the
unique and privileged opportunity to contribute towards that goal.”
“Both of our sons have attended the Cotati-Rohnert Park schools
and were fortunate enough to be able to participate in many of the
educational programs of merit funded by the Education Foundation, including
Art Docent and a whole variety of nature and science projects. These curriculum enhancements have
contributed significantly to their educational success, including their candidacy
qualifications and acceptance at prominent universities.”
Wulff and his wife Paula (also a board
member and former president) have lived in Sonoma County since 1989. Both are exceptionally active in their
community and were joint recipients of the prestigious Sonoma County Spirit
Award in 2006. Wulff works for the
City of Rohnert Park and further contributes to the community as a member of
the Rotary Club of Rohnert Park-Cotati and as a member of the United States
Air Force Auxiliary – Civil Air Patrol – Redwood Empire Composite Squadron

2004-2005 & 2002-2003)
Fred ~ “I have been involved in the Education Foundation for at least nine
years and attended the Sharing of the Green Auction for at least five years before
I joined the board. My wife is a
teacher in the CRPSD and was a recipient of grants from the Education Foundation which allowed her to
purchase good sewing machines for her Home Arts class at Mountain Shadows Middle
School.
Those machines are still in service and have taught hundreds of
students how to sew. Since becoming a
member I have watched the organization grow by improving the Auction and
developing other fundraiser events like the Spice up the Night Chili Cook Off
and the Talent Extravaganza. The end
result is more funds to enrich the student’s educational experience”.

Debbie Pastryk
Debbie ~ My name is Debbie Pastryk. I attended RCHS, and have lived in RP for
many years. My husband, Michael and I
have raised three sons: Steven (25) RCHS, Jason (20) RCHS, and Justin (19)
Tech High. I am very pleased with my
children's overall education they received.
I support our schools and teachers and want to give back where I
can. That is why I joined the Cotati-Rohnert Park Education Foundation
and hope all of you support us, and our events.

~ “It is my pleasure & privilege to
serve as a board member of the Education Foundation (EF). The youth is our future and I am truly
blessed to work with such a wonderful group of EF board members, who not only
work hard to raise grant money for our schools, but have become wonderful
lifelong friends.”
“Rohnert Park has been my home for the past 30 years. I attended Richard Crane Elementary School,
Mountain Shadows Middle School and graduated from Rancho Cotati High
School. I then met and married my
husband Tracy and have been happily married for 21 years. My husband and I are raising our two sons
Cavin (18 years old) and Lance (16 years old), who both attended Gold Ridge
Elementary and Mountain Shadows Middle School and now have moved on to High
School. We are proud to say Rohnert Park
is our home, our community and our family.
We love living here and give our time and support to the many city
organizations and schools to make a difference in our children’s
future.”
“The Education Foundation is such a unique foundation, in that
all of the EF members are very active volunteers and willingly give countless
amounts of hours towards all the wonderful fundraisers year in and year
out. The EF strives to provide our
teachers and the children of our schools the grants they need to continue
offering a well-rounded curriculum, which becomes financially more and more
difficult each year. I am very happy
and grateful knowing that EF can make a difference; however we need you, our
community, and our Rohnert Park family, to be our support. Our children deserve the opportunity to find
their hidden talent(s), whether that be in music, the arts, sports, etc. Who knows, one of our very own could be the
next Mozart, Leonardo da Vinci or Michael Jordan.”
Education Foundation
Advisory Board
(Past Members)
We appreciate the dedicated service these upstanding citizens
provided to our community, as well as the continuation of their volunteer
services and support for the Education Foundation.
Bonnie
Black
(Former Executive
Director)
Bonnie ~” In 1975 I received a BA in Art
Education from Westminster College in New Wilmington PA . I worked as
an art and home ec. teacher for 3 1/2 years in Virginia before moving to CA in
1979. My teaching credential from PA was not recognized in CA, and the art
teaching jobs were becoming scarcer after the passage of Prop.13 so I turned
my attention to starting a family. After my children were in
school, I became active in several Rohnert Park nonprofits gaining
board and fund raising event experience while also becoming more and more
frustrated by the lack of funding for enrichment programs (the arts, music,
etc). I was eager to find a way to help change that. In Sept. of 1994 I
accepted this position bringing my classroom teacher and nonprofit experience
together to meet a new challenge. It has been an honor working with so
many outstanding community volunteers to earn the funding to keep enrichment
programs in our local schools for the past 10 years.”

Lorraine Glass
Lorraine ~ “My husband and I have lived
in Rohnert Park since 1991. We wanted to offer our daughter a
chance to grow up and attend school with friends she would eventually
graduate from High School with. We accomplished this with our daughter
graduating from Rancho
Cotate High
School in 2001 and Sonoma State
in 2005. I was involved in PTA from Elementary through High School,
holding many different offices. I was Chairman of Project Graduation
and served on the Every 15 Minutes committee at Rancho Cotate. Throughout
the years I had heard about the grants the Education
Foundation offered and always thought what a wonderful
opportunity for teachers to fund some of their needs. Once my daughter
was out of school I wanted to get involved and was pleased to join the Education Foundation”
